Porky the Gladiator

hush · issue 5

A poem titled Porky the Gladiator by PJ Lombardo. Text reads: Drenching yellow hurdling massive rounded turning turning turning without heel / Hovering above the laden with swaths of spat / I wave my monstrous eye / in oscillations / dunking / ghostriding / Swiveled out in the fury like it's not a & flee / My stem rotates way shapeless my charm / 's a gladiator named porky who presides / With pounding dance upon the populous… / Upon the populous I leer for marbles / to abound / in tosses / & if the minister scolds my way it's okay It's so okay / Confounding, confounding / ere no hawk would hunt me / none from the ceiling none from the rats
